2010 REHEARSAL SCHEDULE

OGPB Strawberry Social (6/19) - rehearsal TUESDAY June 15th (note DATE CHANGE) from 7:00-9:00pm.

"Fourth of July" Rehearsals - Tuesday June 29 and Thursday July 1 at 7:00-9:00pm.

FIREWORKS PERFORMANCE - Saturday July 3rd - 7:00pm call at Binney Park ballfield.

Town Hall PERFORMANCE - Sunday July 4th - 8:30am at Greenwich Town Hall (old High School on Field Point Road).

This 2010 Season, the SBC Band will rehearse from 7:00-9:00 on the Thursday (week before), and Tuesday - Thursday nights the week of each Binney Park concert unless notified otherwise. 
Additional dates as noted below.  The two Binney Park concerts are Sunday - Aug 1st, and Sunday - August 29th
SOUNDCHECK: 5:00 -6:30 at the Park Bandshell

REHEARSAL DATES:  JULY: 22, 27, 29  --  AUGUST: 19, 24, 26

Rehearsals are held on the second floor of the SBVFD Firehouse, 207 Sound Beach Ave, Old Greenwich.  Refreshments are served at break!
Arrive early - help set-up, warm-up, and and get ready for a 7:00 downbeat!

¯ Directions
From I-95 exit 5, turn right at the light onto the Post Road; turn right at the next light onto Sound Beach Avenue. 
 
Bear right at the intersection to stay on Sound Beach Avenue.  The entrance to Binney Park (our performance venue) is the first street to the right.  And, the SBVFD Firehouse is the third street to the right, at the Mobil Station.

¯ Interested in joining the Sound Beach Community Band?

The SBC Band is open to musicians from advanced 6th grade players through adults from all over Fairfield County.

This 2008 season, the SBC Band will rehearse on Tuesday and Thursday nights the week of the Binney Park outdoor concerts, at the SBVFD Firehouse - 207 Sound Beach Avenue.  We rehearse from 7:00 to 9:00, but please arrive early to help set up, warm up, and be ready to play on the downbeat!  You must attend two rehearsals to play the concert (if there are issues, please discuss them with the conductor, or board members).

CONCERT DRESS: for the Sound Beach Community Band performances, please wear: white top, black bottom, black shoes. 
When we perform as the SBVFD band, we will add red tie and red suspenders to our concert dress (SBVFD uniform pants for those that have them!)

We enjoy refreshments at the break, and most importantly, we do not audition! 
So, get out your old high school instrument and come play with us!  You are welcome to show up the Tuesday rehearsal night or call the Band Line and tell us the instrument you play, and a brief description of your playing experience so we can seat you accordingly and get you the concert music for rehearsal!
